Non-Alcoholic Mint Mojito
Non-Alcoholic Mint Mojito
Bariatric friendly mocktail time!
I’ve talked about alcohol a few times on the website and how after interviewing three incredible women on their battles with post-op alcoholism, I really changed my tune to alcohol and WLS.
I’ve always given the warnings and disclaimers but also am a person that tends to trusts everyone and as long as I tell them about the risks of transfer addiction after bariatric surgery, they know to be aware. Now I tend to lay those disclaimers down with more sincerity and seriousness in my voice. Be careful with alcohol friends. Biology and the effects of alcohol and real and people who never thought it would be them after surgery have battled this fight.
So.
Disclaimers aside, mocktails are awesome. You can get so creative with the flavors and enjoy a fun beverage without the risk! I love fresh mint so this 4 ingredient and low calorie Mojito is a great recipe to keep in your back pocket! :) Make sure you leave the time to prepare the drink in advance and get the flavors to truly develop.
