Chocolate Peanut Butter Protein Shake
Chocolate Peanut Butter Protein Shake
Bariatric liquid diet or evening sweet craving buster
More often than not I have found post-op patients grow very tired of sweet protein shakes, especially in the early phases of the diet.
If that is the case, you might find the not too sweet vanilla shake more your style!
When would this shake be a good fit? I would say for pre-op patients who don’t have the aversion to sweets or for post-op patients further in the journey who have a sweet tooth they are trying to keep in check!

Have you ever thought about using peanut butter powder? PB2 I think it’s called?
@Anne Hi Anne! Yes, that’s what “peanut flour” is..those would be the name brands. Great point, I will add those name brands to the notes next to peanut flour!
How much is your scoop for the protein powder
?
I’m not certain if you are asking how much protein is in my scoop or how large the scoops is. I used chocolate Unjury protein powder for this recipe and used the included scoop. I look for whey protein isolate powders with 15-20 grams protein and less than 7 grams of carbohydrate per serving.
