Pizza Stuffed Burgers – Low Carb WLS Recipe
It’s nearing the time of year when burgers are frequently seen on the weekly menu- and stuffed burgers are one of my favorites! You can make it several ways and are fairly quick and easy to get on the table.
In many ways it reminds me of a meatloaf! Instead of packing all the ingredients together into a large loaf, you put the “mix-ins” inside the layers for ground meat. No wonder I love them! Anything meatloaf-ish will grab my attention.
Enter the stuffed pizza burger. I had leftover spaghetti sauce and mozzarella cheese so I added turkey pepperoni to my grocery list and this star was born!

Ingredients
- 1 lb 93% lean ground beef
- 1 egg
- 1 tbsp Parmesan cheese
- 1 tbsp worcestershire sauce
- 1 tbsp garlic, chopped
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp pepper
- 12 slices turkey pepperoni, cut into fourths
- 2 tbsp shredded mozzarella cheese
Instructions
- Mix together beef, egg, parmesan cheese, Worcestershire sauce, garlic, salt & pepper.
- Separate meat into 12 equal amounts. Taking one section at a time, make a flattened burger patty. Evenly divide turkey pepperoni over 6 of the patties. Repeat with shredded mozzarella cheese.
- Top with another section of ground beef and use hands to enclose the mixture inside the patty.
- Grill on both sides 5-6 minutes or until desired doneness.
