Decluttering helps motivation!

As I was go through my own purge party and restock the pantry I am inspired thinking of all the others that are doing the same!

Here is the thing. Clearing things out makes a big difference in your health journey, in multiple ways.

Clearing the clutter in your food life has a major impact in motivation. 

It increases your confidence on how you’re managing your food life!

Decluttering and PRIZES!

January brings that natural feeling of refreshment. I love that!

I know we poke fun at New Year’s resolutions and I understand why, but I also love leaning into the natural feeling of wanting to clean out and refresh. I tap into that for its full potential!

When January starts to drag on and the excitement of a New Year refresh has faded, a clean pantry is still paying off. I thank the old me for setting things up so well.

When I open my pantry and it is cleaned out and stocked well, it overflows into meal planning and food choices. Members have shared they feel empowered, organizing and overall better!

It is a domino effect when the kitchen feels fresh and clean. The more cluttered and messy it feels, that can overflow into how prepared we feel in  overall eating habits.

This is the time of year we all feel tempted to look at new eating plans, meal kits, meal plans and so on. Which is just fine! But regardless of the details, at the end of the day we need to get cleaned out and back to the basics for the best chance success.

(Speaking of meal kits, Bari Box is still my favorite.)

This sweepstakes is not a sponsorship, I am purchasing the gift cards. 

Contestants are active members to Bariatric Food Coach who submit a photo of their cleaned out pantry or refrigerator.

The best place to do this is in our Facebook group so we can all see the cleaned out kitchens and cheer one another on! If you are not on Facebook simply email me a photo and you’ll still be entered into the sweepstakes.

The deadline to enter your photo is end of day Tuesday, January 10th.

Many of you have already clean out your cupboards! Post your photo to the thread in our Facebook group or send me an email and I will add you to my list.

If you are having a hard time getting started, here are my tips:

Take a before photo
Set a timer for 5 minutes
Throw out obvious trash
See what accomplished in 5 minutes!

You might find you want to keep going or you might feel like you can do 5 more minutes later and do it in sprints!

Two winners will be announced on Wednesday, January 11th! Winners will be notified via email and posted in our group.
