Hi it’s Steph Wagner, Weight-Loss Surgery Dietitian on Foodcoach.me.
I have a new kitchen gadget in my life this week. After a patient was raving about how great his microwave egg boiler was, I couldn’t resist and was on amazon later that day.
This thing is awesome. To show you my new gadget, I strapped on my go pro camera…..and took some footage for you.
Here’s what it looks like. Made my nordic ware it looks like an egg itself. You take off the top, and then the aluminum shelf and fill the base with water. Put the egg holder back in and it fits up to four eggs at one time. You can one or you can do four.
Place the lid back on and into the microwave. You can see the camera on my head. Microwave 10 minutes and remove with pot holders. It’s going to be hot. Take the eggs out and place in an ice bath and leave to cool there for about another 10 minutes. Crack the eggs and they peel so easily. For a wonderful hardboiled egg. PS Did you see my better half walk by??
10 minutes and the easy to peel eggs that can serve as a snack by themselves or paired in a tuna salad or make an egg salad. Even deviled eggs just got easier. I’ve been slicing them with an egg slicer and putting them on salads. So many uses for boiled eggs and I for one am excited to have a faster and easier process to get them made.
This egg boiler is available on amazon for about $13.00 and free shipping if you are an Amazon Prime Member. I will place an affiliate link below to order.
If you have gadget you just can’t live without, let me know! I would love to try your gadget and make a video review like this one. Be sure to sign up for the foodcoachme to stay up to date on the latest and greatest kitchen gadgets. Happy eating!
I LOVE LOVE LOVE my Stoneware Microwave Egg Cooker and Stoneware Small Ridged Baker from Pampered Chef! I make my egg whites and turkey bacon so easy and quick! For the Egg Cooker, I lightly grease the wells with coconut oil and add egg whites and shredded cheese. I cook for about 1.5 – 2 minutes. For the turkey bacon, I lay some slices in the Ridged Baker and cover with a paper towel. I cook for about 3 minutes. Perfection!
