This is a guest post shared by follower Brenda! Thank you Brenda for sharing your story and recipe while I enjoy some time off with our new baby!!

My name is Brenda Hyatt. I had Gastric Sleeve Surgery on August 13, 2014 and follow FoodCoachMe along with my dietitian. I have lost 106 lbs in one year!

It was hard in the beginning to change how I viewed food and my new way of low carb eating. FoodCoach.Me is such a great help, I don’t believe I would have been as successful without the recipes and advice. I stuck with it and now it is second nature to me. I am 53 years old and have been overweight my entire life. I tried all the diets even low carb, never with much success and gaining more weight. I now am living my dream, being at a “normal” weight, healthy, happy and active!!

I have found for me to be successful in what I choose to eat I have to have a plan. Amen, Brenda!!! When I grill, I grill more than I need. Today I grilled these hamburgers and honey mustard chicken tenderloins. I’ll have enough for dinner and lunch and the rest I freeze. I have a freezer bin that I keep cooked meals ready to go such as these hamburgers, cooked shredded chicken, meatloaf, or any left over dinners. So on the days I feel overwhelmed or in a hurry I have a quick ready to go meal without worry and plenty of variety.
