Garlic-Parmesan Green Beans
Green beans are such a classic at a holiday meal, but don’t get stuck in a rut with the same old way to fix them! This is a very quick and easy way to put an elegant green bean dish on the table. I like to use a wedge of Parmesan cheese and my cheese knife to shave pretty cheesy ribbons over the top. It takes green beans to the next level!

Ingredients
- 1 lb fresh green beans tip: purchase steamer bag of fresh green beans in produce section
- 4 cloves garlic, pressed or minced
- 2 tsp olive oil
- 2 tbsp shredded parmesan cheese
- 1/4 tsp each salt and pepper
Instructions
- Steam green beans in microwave according to packaged instructions.
- Saute 4 sliced garlic cloves in 1 tbsp olive oil over medium heat until golden, about 1 minute.
- Stir in the green beans; cook 5 more minutes. Season with salt and pepper and top with shaved parmesan cheese. Cook about 1-2 minutes more. Remove from heat and serve.
