Classic Vanilla Shake (Ahem, Protein Shake)
Classic Vanilla Shake (Ahem, Protein Shake)
Summertime is my favorite for making fun protein drinks. Whether it be more of a smoothie, or more creative in flavors, they are cool and refreshing yet super filling! The biggest trick, even with a protein drink, is to be mindful of carbohydrates. Fruit and milk both have carbs, as well as the powder itself. You want to look for the powder with the lowest carb amount and limit fruit. I use water and ice, but a good alternative is unsweetened almond milk.
The possibilities are endless! I love this classic vanilla. The cottage cheese may sound a little freaky, but it gives it a great smooth texture like a shake…and you won’t know it’s in there!
